Rossi Denies Report that University of Bologna Contract has been Cancelled
Andrea Rossi has come out and denied Steven Krivit’s report that the University of Bologna has cancelled his research contract. Rossi had stated he had a deal for researchers from the University’s physics department to examine and verify his ecat low energy nuclear reaction technology. He has also said he wanted to set up a facility where scientists could conduct experiments with his equipment there.
On January 24, Rossi’s long time critic Steven Krivit reported that the University of Bologna had cancelled its contract with Rossi on January 15 because Rossi failed to make a payment. Krivit reported that Dario Braga the director of science at the school had told him the deal had fallen through. Krivit also reported that Braga told him there was no more relationship between his institution and Rossi.
Long time ecat backer Hank Mills of Pure Energy Systems asked Rossi about these reports and here’s what Rossi had to say:
DEAR HANK: PLEASE PUBLISH EVERYWHERE YOU CAN: THE STATEMENT OF KRIVIT
> IS TOTALLY FALSE!!!
> ABOUT THE PUBLIC TESTS I HAVE ALREADY SAID THAT WHEN OUR E-CAT WILL BE
> IN THE MARKET EVERYBODY WILL MAKE ALL THE TESTS HE WANTS.
> WARM REGARDS,
> Citando Hank Mills
It should be noted that Rossi does not refute Krivit’s specific allegations. Nor does he present any evidence to counter Krivit’s report. It should also be noted that Krivit has not produced any evidence to verify his allegations.
Rossi has recently said he is working on research deals with two universities but has declined to identify them. Rossi is apparently trying to start a relationship of some sort with Sweden’s University of Uppsala. In November he reportedly approached unidentified schools in Massachusetts with a similar offer.
Hopefully Rossi can settle his differences with the university and get this deal going. The ecat needs to be examined and verified by scientists. That won’t totally satisfy the skeptics but it will give Rossi the credibility he needs. Note once Rossi starts selling the devices all scientists will need to do is buy a few and open them up. So this point could so be mute.
