“Smoking Gun” of LENR: Fleischmann Project results duplicated in one Day, Celani cell verified as LENR device

TheMartin Fleischmann Memorial Project may have discovered the “smoking gun” of low energy nuclear reaction (LENR). The project’s blog is claiming that French scientist Jean-Paul Biberian independently replicated and confirmed one of its low energy nuclear reactions with less than 24 hours of work.

Two project researchers Mathieu Valat and Bob Greenyer were able to detect gamma pulses every time they filled a Celani Cell with deuterium and switched it on. Valat and Greenyer are so confident about their discovery that they discussed it on YouTube. They believe this is evidence of LENR, when Jean-Paul Biberian duplicated this experiment he was able to get a similar result.

“Essentially it means that we have a device that is doing low energy nuclear reactions,” Greenyer said of the Celani Cell. Valat said the device can be turned on and off.

LENR Champion to leave Post at University of Missouri

The man who made the University of Missouri at Columbia a major center for low energy nuclear reaction(LENR) research will leave his job early next year. New Energy Times is reporting that Robert Duncan has accepted a position as vice president for research at Texas Tech University.

Duncan is familiar to LENR fans as the scientist who discussed cold fusion on a famous feature on CBS’s 60 Minutes news magazine. At the University of Missouri Duncan has been a tireless proponent of LENR.

Among other things Duncan organized the Sidney Kimmel Institute for Nuclear Renaissance at the University. That’s the only program at a major American university dedicated to active LENR research. The Institute financed by clothing billionaire Sidney Kimmel has begun research.

Duncan also brought the 18th Annual International Conference on Cold Fusion (ICCF) to Columbia this summer. The Conference was the first on LENR held at a major American college in many years.

Rossi Details Invention of Rossi Effect and ecat R&D

Andrea Rossi has detailed the origins of his Rossi effect low energy nuclear reaction phenomenon. The effect is the basis of Rossi’s ecat LENR technology. The Italian-American inventor stated that he invented the effect in Manchester, New Hampshire, in 1996.

Rossi stated that he used a 4 volt battery to melt some nickel and produced an effect that produced a coefficient of power (COP) effect of 3. That means he generated 3 times as much power as he put into the experiment. Rossi also stated that he burned his finger on the hot nickel. Rossi also stated that he had been working on LENR since 1993.

The inventor also admitted that he was living in poverty at the time because of the legal troubles that arose over his former business Petroldragon which was seized by Italian authorities. He said he was living on $100 a day, working in manual labor and sometimes eating just two eggs a day when he began his work on LENR.

Rossi E-cat Undergoing Third Party Validation and R&D

Andre Rossi has once again let slip information that indicates his ecat low energy nuclear reaction (LENR) technology is no longer under his control. In a September 20, post on his blog Rossi stated that ecat validation and research and development (R&D) work is being shared with what he called a “Team.”

He also stated that the members of the team are unable to reveal the results of the work to the public at this time. That would indicate they are operating under some sort of a nondisclosure agreement or “gag order.” Rossi also noted that the validation work is being done by a third party while the research and development work appears to be going on in house.

Brillouin Inventor Shares Some Interesting Thoughts on LENR

The man behind Brillouin’s low energy nuclear reaction technology shared some interesting thoughts on the nature of cold fusion and the science behind it. Robert Godes the President and Chief Technology Officer of Brillouin Energy Corporation broke his long standing silence and voiced some interesting opinions on Gary Hendershot’s Smart Scarecrow Show on Sept. 13.

The interview in which Brillouin’s CEO Bob George also participated is well worth watching. Godes revealed something of his sciences and thoughts. He also discussed his rivals Andrea Rossi and Defkalion and their LENR efforts.

Some of the most important points made by Godes included:

  • Most LENR experimenters and inventors fail because they don’t understand the physics underlying the process. This includes Andrea Rossi.

  • Godes thinks Rossi is achieving an LENR effect with his ecat but is unable to control it. Instead Rossi is generating a large amount of heat and the ecat is literally burning up.

Rossi: American Manufacturer Building and Testing ecats in USA!!

Andrea Rossi stated that a new long term test of his ecat low energy nuclear reaction (LENR) technology is underway in a U.S factory on his blog. The inventor stated that the ecats being tested in the factory were manufactured in the USA.

The test is being conducted by an independent committee and will last longer than six months. Rossi described these efforts as a validation test which indicates it is intended to verify his claims about the technology. Rossi didn’t’ say whether these tests had anything to do with the three ecat units supposedly shipped to the U.S. in the spring.

The validation will be conducted by an institution completely independent of Rossi and his Leonardo Group. This could be the Pentagon’s Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency (DARPA) which has been connected to Ross in the past, or a large university.

Why is Media Paying More Attention to Musk’s Hyperloop than LENR?

It is easy to see why those interested in low energy nuclear reaction (LENR) are so dismissive of mainstream media reporting. The media is currently paying a fast amount of attention to something called the Hyperloop a super-fast transportation system being promoted by Tesla Motors and Space X founder Elon Musk.

Okay, Musk is something of a genius and he is to be commended for giving America a working space capsule and building a real electric car. Yet he doesn’t have a working example of his Hyperloop only some cool drawings of it that look like they came out of a back issue of Popular Science.

The Hyperloop would basically be a giant pneumatic tube that would use air to push metal pods containing people or cargo along. Musk has unveiled it as an alternative to California’s conventional high speed rail system which he dislikes. Some critics have noted that Hyperloop might be a publicity stunt designed to make the rail system look bad.

ICCF Doesn’t Lead to any Big Surprises

The 18th annual International Conference on Cold Fusion (ICCF) held last week at the University of Missouri didn’t reveal any big surprises like Celani’s demonstrations of a working low energy nuclear reaction device in public last year. The most interesting and controversial demonstration was Defkalion’s presentation of its tests in Milan, Italy.

We did get our first peak inside the Sidney Kimmel Institute for Nuclear Renaissance or SKINIR at the University. This facility is the first dedicated to such studies at a major US university and it is financed by billionaire fashion entrepreneur Sidney Kimmel. The idea there is to do pure scientific research on low energy nuclear reaction.

The lab is headed up by Mark Prelas who has been involved in LENR research since 1991. Prelas might be the scientist shown in YouTube videos of the lab. He is apparently taking reporters and others on a tour of the facility.

New LENR Device could be unveiled at upcoming conferences

The Italian news source 22passi.blogspot.com is reporting that video of low energy nuclear reaction experiments at Defkalion’s laboratories in Milan, Italy, will be broadcast live on Monday July 22, 2013, at this website. I cannot find proof of this there but it might be worth checking out.

A little humor courtesy of 22 Passi

Defkalion does have a facility in Milan. The usually close lipped company has stated that it will unveil a new LENR device in August presumably at ICCF. The company has stated it will unveil an LENR device at National Instruments’ NI Week Conference in Austin, Texas. This year’s NI Week is scheduled for Aug. 5-8 at the Austin Convention Center.

Particularly since veteran LENR researcher Yeong E. Kim has stated he saw what he calls positive results from a Defkalion experiment in Vancouver, British Columbia. Unfortunately there has been no confirmation of Kim’s claims. I have to wonder if this is the device that Defkalion has promised to demonstrate at the 18th Annual International Conference on Cold Fusion scheduled for the University of Missouri at Columbia, Mo., this week and NIWeek.

Rumor Mill: E-cat operating in USA

The ever popular online rumor mill is claiming that one of Andrea Rossi’s e-cat low energy nuclear reaction (LENR) devices is up and running somewhere in the USA. Several online sources claim that the plant was shipped to a “civilian” customer somewhere in the US about two months ago and is now in operation. Note: since we don’t know who the customer is how do we know the customer is a civilian one or not?

Earlier reports said that three ecat units were shipped to the USA in April. Even if those reports are true it seems a little too early for the units to be up and running.
